FRAUD ALERT!

If you receive an email purporting to come from Revd Jax asking for help with settling a payment, please ignore and delete it. This is a fraud.  We have reported it.

Generous June is a collaborative initiative between the Diocese of Sheffield and the Diocese of Winchester.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.                             Philippians 2: 3-4

One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.            Proverbs 11: 24–25

We know that this year, June is going to look very different. We want to take this opportunity to reflect on what generosity can mean in the most challenging of times, but also look forward to what our generosity might look like in the future, as our communities come back together.

Join us by listening to the daily reflections throughout June. There will be voices from across the UK; contemplations and reflections to get involved with, plus other resources that we have been developing. This is your chance to delve deeper and explore generosity.

Today's daily reflection is from:

Debbie Sellin - Winchester

Prayer for Today -  Friday 5th June

O Lord, from whom all good things come:
grant to us your humble servants,
that by your holy inspiration
we may think those things that are good,
and by your merciful guiding may perform the same;
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

Collect Prayer for Pentecost

Holy Spirit, sent by the Father,
ignite in us your holy fire;
strengthen your children with the gift of faith,
revive your Church with the breath of love,
and renew the face of the earth,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for all those affected by Coronavirus

Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
