Sparsholt Book of Remembrance

We are fortunate to have a beautiful "Book of Remembrance" for St. Stephen's Church, Sparsholt, given in memory of James Hancock by the Hancock family. It is housed in an oak case with glass lid and is open to show the current week so that names entered will always be on view for their 'year's mind'.

Anyone who has lived in this village is eligible for entry in the book, as are family members of residents. A person does not need to have been Church of England, or to have had a funeral service conducted by us, in order for their name to be entered in the book.

A professional calligrapher will enter the names, so it is necessary to make a charge of £25.

If you would like one of more names to be entered, would you please supply the following details:

  • Name to be commemorated:
  • Date(s) of death
  • Age of deceased if under 25
  • Your name:
  • Your address:

Please make cheques (for £25) payable to Sparsholt PCC and give details and money to:
